Successful business owner of an established company.
I am Jake Rainford and I am a Creative Individual. From picking up my first professional camera in 2015 I found a passion for the creative industry. Before then, I was a civil engineer but I’d always had a creative streak.
I started helping my friends with branding their small, local businesses and built up some experience not just creating content with a camera but working on the technical elements of creative design. Which is when I decided to quit my job, move to Malta and start a new chapter within the digital industry. For 6 months I funded my move working as a web designer for a chain of hotels on the island until I’d built up a number of contacts to push me to start Creative Individuals and become my own boss.
After a year and a half of working my way across the island of Malta and building my contacts, gaining experience and making new friends I decided it was time to take the next leap of faith and move myself and my business back to the UK where after a year of finding my feet and building a network, covid struck. The pandemic hit hard but I found myself fighting back to keep my head above water which we managed to do as a business. To look back at where I started in 2015 to where I am now as a successful business owner with an established company, doing what I love most, that’s when I realise what has been my goal all along.
